An Egyptian court on Saturday, June 19,
sentenced former Islamist president Mohamed
Morsi to life in prison for leading the Muslim
Brotherhood and 15 years for stealing secret
Egyptian state security documents.
The court acquitted Morsi of charges of having
supplied Qatar with classified documents but
sentenced him to life for leading an unlawful
organisation, his lawyer Abdel Moneim Abdel
Maksoud told AFP.

The ousted president was also convicted of
having “stolen secret documents concerning
state security” and handed another 15-year jail
term, the lawyer added.

Qatar was a main backer of Morsi and his
Muslim Brotherhood movement while he was in
power between 2012 and July 2013, when the
military overthrew and detained him.
Morsi has been sentenced to death in a separate
trial for his alleged role in prison breaks and
attacks on police stations during the 2011
uprising that overthrew veteran strongman Hosni
Mubarak.

He has also received a life sentence and a 20-
year jail term in two other trials.
On Saturday the court confirmed death
sentences against six defendants, including
three journalists tried in absentia who allegedly
helped relay secret documents to Qatar.
The journalists, Ibrahim Mohamed Hilal and
Jordanian citizen Alaa Omar Mohamed Sablan,
both of Qatar-based Al-Jazeera channels. The
third, Asmaa Mohamed al-Khatib, a female
reporter with pro-Muslim Brotherhood news
outlet Rassd.

The three others sentenced to death, who were
present at the trial, were documentary producer
Ahmed Abho, EgyptAir cabin crew member
Mohammed Kilani and Ahmed Thabet, a
university teaching assistant.
All three convicted can appeal to the court of
cassation. Those who were tried in absentia can
seek a retrial if they appear in person.
According to Reuters,
a 15 year old female suicide bomber who was arrested with a bomb in
Limani village, an area of northern Cameroon, today March 25th, says she
is one of the Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in April 2014. The
girl and another suicide bomber were reportedly apprehended by the
villagers and handed over to the Cameroonian soldiers who interrogated
them.
A 29-year-old pastor is reportedly cooling his
heels at the Ebonyi state police command after
reportedly luring a female member and molesting
her. According to The News Agency of Nigeria
(NAN), the pastor, identified as David Ibe,
committed the assault on Miss Nnenaya Okute, a
member of his congregation.
The Ebonyi police command’s image maker,
the said pastor lured the victim to an uncompleted
adding “the suspect is an impostor who is among
those claiming to be pastor but dent God’s image
through their atrocities.
“He has been arrested and has confessed to
committing the crime, though he claimed that she
refused to marry him after investing heavily on
her. “It is terrible that he choose to rape the girl
for refusing to marry him, as he will be used to set
I said it
to myself , that can this be possible that you
involved in gay practices ? or it was a set up until I
investigate the whole story . You disappointed
many people including your family and friends .
Though I don’ t support attack or jungle justice on
gay instead they should be handover to the police
for proper prosicution in law court of the law .
What police should do is to get the run away
politician involved arrested so gay will not be
spread in the community and it will serve as a
lesson to others . ”
It’s being attended by first class kings, political juggernauts, business titans and high-octane socialites from near and far. Photos below show the arrival of His Imperial Majesty’s Royal entourage in Benin for the wedding ceremony.

The traditional wedding is expected to kick off at noon at the Edo Hotel, Okada Drive, GRA Benin City, Edo State. A thanksgiving ceremony of the traditional union will hold tomorrow at the Royal Court of Ife, Aafin, Enuwa Square in Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The choice of Benin for the first part of the wedding is because the new Olori has Benin roots and is also from Ile-Ife.

The Ooni was said to have been smitten by the simple nature of ravishingly pretty Wuraola, who is a cousin to Jennifer Obayuwana, Polo boss daughter. Jennifer was one of those who first announced the marriage on her Instagram page. Ooni and Wuraola have been on courtship for a while.

The wedding is considered strategic and imperative as it’s strictly against the tradition for a king to live in the palace without the olori (queen).

Oba Enitan Ogunwusi is a young monarch in his early 40s and stupendously rich. BNI reports that tradition supports this marriage and there is likelihood of the Ooni marrying more as he progresses in his reign. It should be noted that Obas, generally, are not restricted to one wife.

A two-week old baby reportedly died after being thrown from his mother’s
lap while she was being raped on a bus. The 28 year old woman, was on
her way to visit her sister with her 2 weeks old son and her three year
old daughter, when the bus pulled into a station in the town of
Shishgarh in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh State.

According to Times of India
The 28-year-old woman, who has not been named, had been visiting her
sister with her 15-day-old son .The conductor, Ishwari Prasad, and his
friend Shiv Kumar are accused of setting upon the woman on the bus.

The duo forced alcohol down the 28-year-old woman's throat before the
gangrape, pushing her into an inebriated condition for over 3 hours
after the attack in Sheeshgarh village on Monday night. With the woman
unable to recount the incident to policemen when they first approached
her for a statement, the 3-year-old, who had hid herself in a corner of
the bus, narrated the entire episode first to the cops and then to her
father.
The woman, a resident of Rampur, was returning home on Monday night
after attending a family function at Khapuriya, a nearby village. As she
alighted at her destination, the conductor, who belongs to a
neighbouring village, promised to drop her at her place. However, as
soon as the last passenger got down, they started assaulting her. When
she resisted, the duo forced liquor into her mouth. In the melee, they
also flung her 14-day-old boy. The infant died on the spot.

According to cops, the woman's 3-year-old daughter hid herself behind a
seat and watched the gory crime. As the duo carried her unconscious
mother outside the vehicle and put her on the road next to the bus
stand, the girl quietly slipped out of the bus and ran to a place where
the accused couldn't see her. It was only in the early hours of Tuesday
when the woman's husband accompanied by locals came looking for her that
they found the girl by the side of her unconscious mother and dead
infant.
